‘Chevron Racing Cars completed an amazing feat in getting 6 new Chevron GR8 cars onto the grid for the first round of the Chevron GR8 Challenge. From concept through design and build in 8 months was due to an outstanding effort by everyone involved especially the team here at Chevron. At Silverstone the drivers were fantastic too, having not seen or sat in their cars until the Friday Test Day. Peter Belshaw was the worthy winner in both events with Track Torque providing professional back up for their two pretty blue cars driven by Nick Jarvis & Matt Round/Adam Lippitt sharing, indeed Adam made an historic moment as he was the first driver to take to the track with Chevron’s first new GT car in 41 years. Jeff Hodgson made a welcome and rapid return to a Chevron together with John Murphy in their silver car with Andy Yool doing a sterling job with a last minute call up. We look forward to Brands Hatch 4/5th June.
